ATLANTIC WORKS LIMITED could be considered as new entrant into the engineering service industry. However, the quality of its service delivery has earned the firm the confidence of its clients.
ATLANTIC WORKS LIMITED played a major role in the construction of the first industrial facility at the Free Zones enclave located along the Tema – Aflao road for Messrs BARRY CALLEBAUT of Switzerland. ATLANTIC WORKS LIMITED, as a sub-contractor of SELF Industries of France, carried out the entire electrical installation works which comprised the following:
- Installation of 11KV, 630A indoor switchgear.
- Installation of 1250KVA, 11KV/400V Distribution Transformer.
- Installation of Main Low Voltage Distribution Panel, Sub-main Low Voltage Distribution panel, Motor control centres and final sub-circuit distribution boards for lighting and small power outlets.
- On-site fabrication of cable tray supports.
- Erection of various sizes of cable trays at heights up to 6 metres.
- Running of single-core and multi-core cables on trays and securing them in place using cable ties. Sizes of cables ranged from multi-core 0.75mm2 for control circuits, to single-core 240mm2 for low voltage feeders circuits.
- Installation of cable lugs and glands on all cables using crimping tools operated manually, hydraulically or electrically.
- Termination of all cables at both source and load points.
- Surface conduit works for lighting fittings, motors and small power receptacles.
- Installation of 400W high pressure sodium and metal Iodide high bay luminaries at heights in excess of 20 metres.
- Complete Office installation works comprising:
- Concealed conduit work
- Multi-compartment trunking work on surface.
- Cabling for lighting, small power receptacles and fixed equipment points
- Cabling for voice and data outlets.
- Cabling for fire alarm and security devices
- Installation of lighting fittings and wiring accessories for power, data and voice communications.
- Installation of fire alarm and security devices.
- Installation of power sub-distribution panels.
- Installation of control panels for fire alarm and security systems.
- Installation of PABX equipment for voice communication.
- Pre-commissioning testing using insulation tester, earth tester, circuit analyser and phase sequence meter.
Additionally, the core staff of ATLANTIC WORKS LIMITED have individually or collectively participated in the following projects:
- Assessment of infrastructural facilities and preparation of technical audit report for a 20-storey high-rise building for Shell Petroleum Development Company in Lagos, Nigeria.
- Supervision of construction of Teslim Balogun Stadium Complex for Lagos State Government in Lagos, Nigeria.
- Supervision of construction of 33KV Inter Township Connection (ITC) and 11KV/415V Town Distribution Network (TDN) for two Local Government Areas in Nigeria.
- Retrofitting of 160MW, 14.1KV Hydro-generators at Akosombo Generating Station for Volta River Authority.
- Installation and commissioning of Power Transformers ranging from 5MVA to 60MVA for Volta River Authority.
- Installation and commissioning of Distribution Transformers ranging from 50KVA pole mounted to 800KVA grounded for the Northern Electricity Department of the Volta River Authority.
- Fault analysis and repair of both Power and Distribution transformers for Volta River Authority.
