This course includes Autodesk Revit Fundamentals and Autodesk BIM Collaborate Fundamentals. The two components of the training shall first be handled separately to enable learners to know the basics and fundamental features of the two solutions. A collaborative workflow approach shall then be introduced with Autodesk Docs as the Common Data Environment, and the BIM Collaborate Pro providing the collaboration and coordination platform when authoring and developing the project content in Revit.

Autodesk Revit is a Building design and construction software for Architects, Interior Designers, Structural Engineers, MEP Engineers, and Quantity Surveyors.

Autodesk Revit software is built for Building Information Modelling (BIM), helping professionals design, build and maintain higher-quality buildings. Using the information-rich models created with Autodesk Revit software, professionals can collaborate to deliver better projects more efficiently.

Autodesk Revit Fundamentals is a 4 days (32 hours) training course covering the Autodesk Revit software which is a powerful Building Information Modelling (BIM) program that works the way architects think. The program streamlines the design process using a central 3D model, where changes made in one view update across all views and on the printable sheets.

The objective of the Autodesk Revit Fundamentals for Architecture training is to enable you to create a full 3D architectural project model, including walls, doors, windows, components, floors, ceilings, roofs, and stairs, using the basic tools that many architectural users need. This includes how to navigate the user interface and use the basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools. The final part of the course focuses on creating construction documents.

The Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro Fundamentals is a 16-hour course which teaches how to manage files in the cloud using Autodesk Docs, Collaboration and Coordination within the AEC project team setup using digital toolsets of Autodesk Docs and BIM Collaborate Pro. Autodesk Docs manages files by controlling sharing and distribution, managing conflicts and changes, and better-predicting project deliverables, all with the aim of lowering project risk. Companies using Autodesk Docs to manage their Building Information Modelling (BIM) workflow will benefit from this course in that they will learn the fundamental tools that will allow them to begin managing their data in the cloud.

In this course, you will learn how to upload and manage building design models and other related documents and project files in the Autodesk Docs platform. You will review and use markup tools for communicating issues across disciplines. Finally, you will learn how various modules in BIM 360 can be used to visually review the status of your projects. You shall also learn how to model coordination, constructability reviews, clash detection's, Revit cloud work-sharing and digital collaboration using Autodesk BIM Collaborate Pro. Finally, you will learn how various modules in BIM 360 can be used to visually review the status of your project.

Fundamental Course:

  • Understanding the purpose of BIM and how it is applied in the Autodesk Revit software.

  • Navigating the Autodesk Revit workspace and interface.

  • Working with the basic sketching and modifying tools.

  • Review Revit file work-sharing, terminology, and workflow.

  • Linking CAD and Revit files as the basis of a project.
