Structural Modelling, Analysis, Design, Detailing and Construction Documentation Using Autodesk Revit Structure and Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Pro



In this hands-on training, we'll explore the simple, powerful, round-trip workflow between Autodesk Revit Structure software and Robot Structural Analysis Professional software. We'll start with a simple structural model of a building in Revit, and we'll develop an understanding of the analytical model that Revit builds concurrently with the creation of structural geometry. We'll then explore the Structural Analysis for Revit feature, which lets static and gravity loads be applied, and the generation of the analytical model. Next, we'll push that model into Robot Structural Analysis Professional to perform a basic analysis and code group-based design. Finally, we'll push the updated geometry from Robot Structural Analysis Professional back to Revit and observe that the model has been updated. We shall conclude by developing structural details and construction documentation in Autodesk Revit Structures Software

The course instructor is a BIM Specialist/Consultant (Building and Infrastructure) and a practising registered Civil Engineering in Kenya with Engineers Board of Kenya. The holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi, with more than 6 years in Civil Infrastructure design in East Africa to medium to large infrastructure projects, for both private and public sector. The instructor also has vast experience as a BIM Specialist ranging from Support, Training, Implementation, BIM Management, and Coordination for more than 4 years. The instructor is a Certified Instructor and an Accredited Consulting Implementation Framework in BIM and CAD Service Provision.
